Test anxiety is a type of anxiety disorder, which is developed due to the fear of performance. One might me completely prepared for the exam, or a competition or a play but when the day arrives you feel that your mind is blank and you will not be able to live up to yours n others expectations. This is what test anxiety is all about. There is a cause for test anxiety and the cure is simple.

Test anxiety is similar to performance anxiety, which happens then one has a fear to face a situation or experience which test one's performance. For example going for an important interview, writing a important exam, performing on stage solo or with a group. You might feel that everyone is looking at you alone and is judging every move and every word u speak. When some incidence is bothering you and you fail to perform well, it doesn't come under test anxiety, coz this is understandable. Test anxiety causes stomachache, headache, nervousness, nausea etc. Test anxiety is cause by various factors and it mainly affects the body and the mind.

When a person is completely stressed out the body releases a hormone ‘Adrenaline'. This hormone is realized from the brain and it causes physical symptoms that are seen like, sweating, pounding of the heart, nausea etc. Hence the main cause of test anxiety is stress and the release of this hormone. The reactions might be severe or mild depending on the thinking of the person. Thinking in extreme negative view may make the reaction intense and hence it will cause mental disorders.

Test anxiety is common among people who strive for perfectionism. They can't settle for anything less at any cost. Hence such people don't accept they mistakes and blame others for every silly mistake they make. This type of anxiety is also common is students who do not prepare well for they exams or are completely prepared for they exam and might fear that they might forget everything just before the exam. Not getting enough sleep before the day of exam or performance may also cause test anxiety. Test anxiety is a major problem has to taken care of at the earliest.

One can fight test anxiety by the proper way of playing with one's mind. Take the stress in a positive way, stress yourself up to the limit where you can handle stress, use it to motivate you. Take the help of experts for the topics you find difficulty in ad make proper use of the resources available. Be prepared well in advance for the test, no last moment cramming will work out, only regular study with good study habits can help you score better. Always have an optimistic point of view, never get nervous over anything, and hence build a strong will power. If you are wrong at any point, accept your mistakes, learn from them and move ahead.

Hence just by having the right type of attitude will not help completely. One has to take good care of one's health too. Eating on time, enough sleep, eating food rich in nutrients like proteins, vitamins etc. is also important. All this can't be done overnight, practice make a man perfect. Therefore one has to spend time and to things regularly with proper practice, which will help in fighting all types of disorders very well.
